Have you ever heard about Gastrodiplomacy?
This is a concept that sustained public relations campaigns incited by governments and states. Gastrodiplomacy is in collaboration with non-local chefs; all international chefs are welcome to show their own culinary skills and tools, to improve the value and standing of their brand through food. It also relies on food as a common dimension of the lives and cultures of every people.
According to the “World Wild Words” the most common countries that have been celebrating these events are: North Korea, India and Malaysia. Other countries have employed the same techniques, however the first country that inspired this event is the wonderful and gorgeous “Thailand”. In 2003 Thailand, was even called “Global Thai”, to greatly increase the number of restaurants around the world serving Thai food.
